GuruShot – Scratchmedia’s Latest Web2.0 Application Design Project

I met Ben about a year ago on a seminar. We immediately got chatting about our ideas for the web, and how it can be used to help people help themselves. And that’s how GuruShot was born.

GuruShot.com is basically a Web2.0 application for sharing the world’s wisdom.

The world is full of amazing quotes that can really give you just the inspiration you need at any moment. But they tend to be found in books and long lists.

GuruShot.com aims to deliver the best wisdom the world has to offer to anyone just when they need it.

You can go on to GuruShot and type in a word or two into the simple text field. Then GuruShot will try to give you a wisdom quotation that matches what you’re looking for.

So if you want inspiration about peace, family, marketing, or intimacy – just type it in and see what you get.

GuruShot is also a smart system. You can teach it what works and what doesn’t. If the quote you get back inspires you, or if it doesn’t inspire you, you can just click a button. GuruShot will then learn what quotes best match each subject, so that it can help people better in the future.

Of course, you can also add your own favourite quotes. You just need to sign up, confirm your email, and start sharing. You’ll get no spam – just an optional daily quote.
