BT returns to the UK mobile market with 3 SIM-only tariffs

BT, the UK’s incumbent telecom infrastructure owner and national landline provider, today announced its first moves back into offering consumer-facing mobile services with BT Mobile. Initially, its not offering up hardware, so customers will need to provide their own handsets to take advantage of the SIM-only plans, which start from £5 per month for existing BT Broadband customers. The company said discounts for broadband customers (versus non-customers) would be as high as 50 percent. Handily, they apply to anyone in the household, not just account holders. The cheapest plan (£5) offers up 500MB of 4G data, unlimited texts and 200 minutes…
