Dixons Carphone is planning a mobile network that’ll hook up your connected appliances

Last week, Sky announced it’ll offer mobile services with the help of Telefónica UK, now awkwardly-named electrical retailer Dixons Carphone is getting in on the act. It’s signed an agreement with Three to sell branded mobile tariffs, reports the Financial Times. As well as selling contracts for smartphones that will allow customers to easily change the amount of minutes and data they receive, the company will sell data plans for laptops, tablets and home appliances.
