Microsoft Lumia 735 arriving in UK on October 2 with Cortana digital assistant in tow

Microsoft has today announced that the Lumia 735 will be available in the UK from October 2, and it’ll be the first handset to arrive running Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant. Priced from around £20 on contract (we’re still awaiting confirmation of a SIM-free price), the device was first announced three weeks ago, alongside a dual-SIM, non-LTE variant. Key specs include the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system (with Lumia Denim), a 4.7-inch 720p OLED display, a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 8GB of onboard storage (with microSD support) and a 6.7-megapixel camera.
