Amazon’s Fire TV is more than just a pipeline for movies and TV — the new set-top could take on game consoles like the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, or Android-powered consoles like the OUYA, thanks to the introduction of a $40 controller specifically for games.
The controller will allow users to play games on the Kindle Fire-like device that Amazon announced Wednesday in New York. Rumored images of it were leaked last month from the Brazilian parallel of the FCC.

Amazon announced content will come from Ubisoft, 2K, Gameloft, EA, Sega, Double Fine and Minecraft creator Mojang. The controller will also come bundled with coins to purchase games. Read more…
