The Obama administration is set to release a legislative proposal that would revamp the National Security Agency‘s bulk collection of U.S. telephone data, according to a new report.
Under the new plan, the U.S. government would no longer “systematically collect and store records of calling data,” and could only obtain records linked to phone numbers that are tied to legitimate terrorism threats, according to The New York Times.
