It was only a matter of time before one of Maker Studios’ breakout YouTube channels wound up on TV.
Just before it was acquired this week by Disney for $500 million or more, Maker made a deal to license content with digital cable programmer Music Choice, the first time the YouTube multichannel network’s wares are coming to pay TV.

The deal is for 500 hours or more of clips, including a takeover of music-video parody partner Bart Baker’s videos for the month of April, according to Variety, which broke the news of Maker’s deal on Friday. Read more…
