The Black Keys got weird when announcing their forthcoming album Turn Blue by posting a surreal YouTube video that they shared on Mike Tyson’s Twitter account. For their first single, however, the band is keeping it straightforward
Seeming to pick up where El Camino left off, “Fever” — like nearly all the tracks on the guitar-and-drums duo’s last three records — gets the full-band treatment, including the hockey-rink keyboard sound featured on many tracks from their 2011 effort.

There’s no actual “Fever” video yet, but the song plays over a swirling hypnotic spiral — a version of which appeared on their album-announcement video, spinning on a record on a turntable while a menacing hypnotist reads a bizarre script.
