In Oso, Everyone Is Affected by Deadly Mudslide

ARLINGTON, Washington — For at least 30 minutes on Tuesday night, things almost felt normal again in Arlington, Wash.

It was a welcome sight, as citizens of Arlington and nearby Oso held a candlelight vigil to honor the victims of a deadly mudslide that took place Saturday morning. Officials confirmed Tuesday that 16 bodies have been recovered, and another eight are presumed dead, but out of reach of rescuers.
