Nuzzel, the social news service from Friendster founder Jonathan Abrams, is now open to anyone who wants to join.
The service first launched in the fall 2012, and was previously invitation-only.
Unlike many of Abrams’ previous ventures, Nuzzel is not a new social network. Instead, it claims to find the most important stories your connections are sharing Facebook and Twitter and puts them all in one place.
When you sign up with Twitter or Facebook, Nuzzel pulls in stories that have recently been shared by multiple friends. Articles that have been shared the most are pushed to the top of your feed, and all stories are displayed with commentary from friends — as well as friends of friends — so you can see what your connections are saying.
