More than 30 years have passed since your favorite black-and-white beagle, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang graced the big screen — which may be hard to believe. But that changes next year.
Based on the comic strip created by the late Charles Schulz, Peanuts has lived on largely through newspaper comics, MetLife commercials, reruns of classic TV specials (A Charlie Brown Christmas) and the occasional viral video. Throughout all these incarnations, however, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus and their friends have always been portrayed as 2D, hand-drawn characters.
