Box filed to raise $250 million in a public offering on Monday, putting in motion one of the most anticipated tech IPOs this year
The move also put the spotlight on 29 year-old Box CEO Aaron Levie. Levie founded the company in 2005 and since then has become one of the most entertaining personalities on the tech startup scene
Here are seven things you probably didn’t know about Levie:
1. Levie started Box with friends he met in middle school
Levie and Dylan Smith, now Box CFO, met at Islander Middle School in Mercer Island, Wash., and later cofounded the company. Jeff Queisser, VP of technical operations, met the two soon after. Sam Ghods, VP of technology, met them in 10th grade. Read more…
