But on an otherwise gloomy day, Americans took home a series of medals that helped put them back near the top of the medal count
Meryl Davis and Charlie White won gold in ice dancing, and Americans took to the podium of the two-man bobsled event for the first time since 1952 with Steven Holcomb and Steve Langton scoring a bronze medal.
Bode Miller took home a bronze medal in super-G, but most of the attention was directed to his post-race interview. NBC’s Christin Cooper was criticized widely on social media for asking prying questions that resulted in Miller shedding tears during the interview. Read more…
