So much for papal-palace intrigue.
Pope Francis targeted some of the highest-ranking members of the Catholic church in his homily at St. Peter’s Basilica on Sunday, saying cardinals need to reject “intrigue, gossip, power pacts, favoritism,” according to the Associated Press
He added that bishops and the 19 new cardinals, who were awarded the title on Saturday, should strive to be good servants of the people.
