Not quite two years ago, we brought you some of the Summer Olympics’ funniest fails in this timeless classic.
This on-ice Winter Olympics tumble from Russian curler Andrey Drozdov is right up there with any of those. Watch as a curling stone, ahem, sweeps — that’s a curling pun, if you’re scoring at home — Drozdov’s feet right out from under him. Luckily, he’s able to break the fall with his, um, face. Never mind, actually; this just looks like a world of pain.
The epic faceplant came during Russia’s 7-6 win over Switzerland on Thursday in Sochi. That brings Russia’s curling record to 1-4 so far in the games.
