Netflix uploaded the second half of season five (episodes 9 through 16) on Monday as part of its content deal with AMC, which originally aired the series from 2008 to 2013. Netflix users already had access to the first four seasons and the first half of the final season

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan previously told Mashable that the show may have met its demise after season two, had it not been for streaming video on demand. It ushered in new viewers and encouraged time-starved people to keep watching at their own pace, resulting in enormous growth from season to season, reaching its climactic end in September with 10.3 million viewers — the show’s highest viewership ever.
