A camel went on the rampage in southern California on Friday, attacking people in cars until it was captured by sheriff’s deputies and animal control
The desert-based beast escaped from a property in Acton, a sparsely populated town between Palmdale and Santa Clarita, Calif., about 50 miles north of Los Angeles. No injuries were reported, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the camel was attacking people trapped in their vehicles.

The camel was reported to 911 at around 8:30 a.m. PT and captured about 30 minutes later
