Waiting for an application’s progress bar to crawl its way to the finish line can be a big test of patience. Whether it takes hours or a few minutes, it always feels like an eternity.
For Swedish graphic artist Viktor Hertz, it’s a daily frustration. Hertz has several big-name clients, including IKEA and Ray-Ban, but it’s his small personal project inspired by our collective impatience with progress bars that’s making waves online.

Hertz’s inspiration for the idea came while he was waiting for a particularly large file to finish loading in Adobe Illustrator. He told Mashable that he decided to “tweak it into something new, just for fun basically … for my own amusement and as a personal challenge.” Read more…
