The emergence of streaming music services like Pandora and others have opened up a new world of music listening.

But many people are not enjoying streaming music regularly at home. That’s partly because the devices that we use to listen to music, such as smartphones and PCs, are often busy doing other things. And when those devices leave a home’s wireless network, the music leaves with it.

So the sound experts at Bose explored a different approach and created a new way to stream music at home. The company’s SoundTouch music systems directly connect to a home’s wireless network. Internet radio and music services are built right into the system, so there’s no need to access other devices to play music.

That means you can leave your phone in your pocket or use your tablet for playing games, and still enjoy the music you want.

Bose’s SoundTouch devices connect to your home Wi-Fi network and fit unobtrusively into every room of your house.

Choose Your Room, Hear What’s Next

To satisfy everyone’s needs, Bose is offering three different types of music systems, ones designed for every room in the home. Once they are connected to your home network and the system has been configured, you’re ready to listen to Internet radio, Pandora, and even your private music library stored on your computer instantly, at the touch of a button.

The SoundTouch 30 Wi-Fi music system is the powerhouse of the group. It fills even your largest space with sound and is a perfect main music system. The player, 9.7″ high and 17.1″ wide, includes an Ethernet port and USB inputs that support MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats.

The slightly smaller SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi music system also packs a sound punch. Out of the box, this 7.4” high and 12.4″ wide player is best suited for a bedroom, kitchen or home office.

There’s even a go-anywhere, battery-powered SoundTouch Portable Wi-Fi music system that has the same high quality sound as the rest of the SoundTouch family. This 5.8″ high and 9.8″ wide music system is perfect for roaming around the house. The compact device includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for hours of play.

There’s An App For That

There are six convenient presets found either on the top of each of these music systems or on its its remote control. Both can be easily programmed and personalized through the free SoundTouch app.

The app also lets you control your SoundTouch system from a computer, smartphone or tablet. Each system comes with its own remote control. There is also a premium SoundTouch controller that can be wall-mounted for additional convenience.

You also can set up additional SoundTouch systems to work with each other for a multi-room listening experience. In party mode, these systems work together as one to play music everywhere. Or, they can be used to play different music in different rooms.

Since it works with your existing home Wi-Fi network, there is no extra equipment necessary. And since you stream your favorite music at the touch of a button with personalized presets, you can enjoy wireless access to Internet radio, Pandora, and your music library—while freeing up your smartphone or computer.

It’s so easy, more people may start listening to streaming music more often.
