Viddy Rebrands as Supernova, Unveils Cluster of New Apps

What do you do when two large tech companies launch competitors to your app? If you’re Viddy, you launch a bunch of other apps.

Viddy, a two-year old app for sharing 30-second videos, announced Monday that the company has been renamed Supernova and launched two new apps with plans to introduce more in the coming months. One app, called Epic, lets iPhone users share slow-motion videos regardless of whether they have the latest iPhone 5s device; the other app called Clique lets users share and customize photos anonymously with groups of friends and coworkers.
