Snapchat appears to be neck and neck with Facebook in one key metric: photos shared daily.
Snapchat users now share 400 million “snaps” — or photos and videos — each day, according to a rep for the company. That number, which was first reported by Business Insider on Tuesday, has doubled since June when Snapchat reported 200 million daily snaps.

Facebook users, by comparison, currently share 350 million photos each day on average, according to a source familiar with Facebook’s numbers. Unlike Snapchat’s “snaps” stat, Facebook’s number doesn’t include videos.
