Call of Duty: Ghosts is hitting store shelves almost exactly 10 years after the first Call of Duty, a PC-only game that spawned 21 more titles across 17 platforms. In many ways, Call of Duty is the flagship product for this generation of console gaming. Massively popular, it dominates the sales charts each year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
So it’s fitting that — as possibly the last iteration available on those consoles — Call of Duty: Ghosts is a museum of gameplay and storytelling tenets that were revolutionary in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3’s heyday.
