The BBC’s now abandoned Television Centre in Wood Lane, London was put up for sale earlier this year, but thanks to Google Street View it’s still possible to explore the building in its former glory.
You can now find the original site on Google Maps and drop the yellow pegman to begin exploring various studios and offices where the BBC produced some of its world-famous programming. Alternatively, the BBC has setup a webpage with quick shortcuts for moving between the seven different floors.
Doctor Who fans should take note: While Google was capturing the images, the BBC was also filming its docudrama ‘An Adventure in Space and Time‘, which aired last week in the days leading up to the sci-fi epic’s 50th Anniversary special episode, ‘The Day of the Doctor‘.
Look hard enough and you might be able to spot a few sets that were used during the programme…
