Anyone visiting the Fox News website Tuesday afternoon may have noticed something was off
For a few minutes, the top story on the site had the caption “Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,” followed by “STUFF YO,” in what initially appeared to be a hacker attack. The date on the homepage read May 16, 2013, which happens to be the day that hackers from Lulzsec were sentenced to jail.
Fox News denied that the website had been hacked, explaining in a tweet that the incident was caused by an “internal production issue.”
As you may have seen, http://t.co/m6O9czWONs is having issues. It’s an internal production problem and will be fixed soon#FoxNews
