Amazon has expanded its presence in Australia in a big way. After making the Kindle family of products available to Australians through the U.S. store back in 2009, Amazon finally launched a dedicated Australian Kindle Store. Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets are now also available in Australia
The Aussie Amazon store can be found at Amazon.com.eu, and it offers the usual Amazon goodies: 2 million ebooks, which includes over 26,000 free English-language titles and 400,000 Kindle-exclusive titles
Amazon has also launched its Kindle Direct Publishing platform in Australia, enabling local authors to publish their works at a price they see fit, providing they’re happy with the 70/30 profit split with Amazon Read more…
