The Glee cast bid a tearful farewell to castmate Cory Monteith in Thursday’s episode, “The Quarterback.” Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the Fox show, died July 13 of a drug overdose
The episode, set three weeks after Finn’s funeral, never reveals the cause of his death. Instead, the cast pays tribute to Finn by doing what they do best — singing. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, Monteith’s on and offscreen girlfriend, returned to the halls of William McKinley High School to say goodbye
