Rockstar Games is giving Grand Theft Auto Online players half a million in online currency to make up for problems caused by overloaded game servers.
Since Grand Theft Auto Online — a free add-on bundled with GTA V that lets players explore Los Santos with their friends — launched Oct. 1, players have complained the game has been very unstable. Problems ranged from inability to connect to servers to GTA Online over-writing characters already in the system.
Rockstar, to its credit, has been up front with fans during the problems, and has issued a few updates to correct issues. Currently, it’s recommending players be extra careful when saving their games, and not assume anything has autosaved. Read more…
