Taxi-hailing app Uber announced an adorable promotion for National Cat Day on Tuesday, promising 15 minutes of kitten playtime delivered right to your office. But the demand has been so high, there’s an Uber cat shortage in New York City.
The company teamed up with LOLcats site I Can Has Cheezburger to bring kittens in need of adoption to offices in San Francisco, New York and Seattle. Each visit costs $20, a fee that goes toward participating shelters. Uber employees will show up with kittens in tow after a trip is requested via its free app
Demand for #ICanHasUberKittens is very high, but keep trying until 4pm. Checkout @hardcandyshell enjoying the fun: pic.twitter.com/I7rhGTcwLN
