The computer disappears.

That has always been Apple‘s goal, and that is my first impression of the newer, lighter iPad Air. It’s pretty much the purest expression yet of an interactive screen, without anything to weigh you down or hold you back.

Laptops and desktops can’t disappear. A smartphone can’t disappear, especially not an iPhone 5C (on which the bright colors are made to stand out) or a 5S, with its flashy edges and unmissable Touch ID fingerprint sensor. At that size, you’re always aware you’re using one. Gold phones are even less likely to disappear, which probably explains why Apple chose not to make a gold iPad. Read more…
