The Banksy hype enveloping New York City has amateur art collectors on edge.
Earlier this month, famous street artist Banksy effectively trolled New Yorkers by setting up a stall in Central Park and selling his coveted paintings for just $60 (they’ve previously sold for upwards of $500,000)
Banksy had only three buyers over several hours, making just $420. But the entire endeavor created a media storm and has prompted New Yorkers to constantly be on the lookout for similar Banksy stunts
