eBay is aggressively expanding its same-day delivery service. At a presentation in Manhattan Tuesday morning, Devin Wenig, president of eBay Marketplaces, announced the company has acquired one of the biggest competitors of eBay Now, a UK-based startup called Shutl that arrived in the U.S. in February.
The acquisition will help eBay Now reach 25 geographic markets by the end of 2014, including London. The service is already available in New York and San Francisco and, as of this morning’s announcement, Chicago. Dallas will be added to the list of available markets next week.
