Drunk Driver Who Confessed on YouTube Sentenced to Prison

Matthew Cordle, the man whose drunk driving YouTube confession garnered millions of views, was sentenced Wednesday to serve six-and-a-half years in prison.

The 22-year-old admitted that he was under the influence during a fatal accident — an admission he posted in a YouTube video, which currently has more than 2.3 million views. In the video, Cordle begs others not to make the same mistake and promises to take responsibility for his actions. He pleaded guilty on Sept. 18 to aggravated vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated during the June 22 crash
