BlackBerry has previously admitted that sales of its new BlackBerry 10 smartphones were worse than expected; now we know just how bad sales were.
BlackBerry revealed in an SEC filing Tuesday night that it sold 5.9 million smartphones to customers in the second quarter, about 4.2 million of which were running on BlackBerry’s old operating system, BlackBerry 7. No matter how you slice it, those numbers are disappointing for BlackBerry.
