The rumor mill was right: Apple unveiled a new line of retina screen MacBook Pro computers on Tuesday at its iPad event in San Francisco. Apple is calling it “the best [MacBook] lineup we’ve ever had.”
“We’ve been really hard at work with the Mac,” CEO Tim Cook told attendees.

The Macbook Pro 13-inch retina, which starts shipping on Tuesday, is priced at $1,299. It comes with a powerful, high-end fourth-generation Intel Haswell chip with Iris graphics and up to 9 hours of battery life. It comes with 2.4 GHx Core i5, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.
Meanwhile, the 15-inch MacBook can up 8 hours of battery life and is powered by the Intel Crystalwell chip for $1,999. It includes a quad-core 2.4GHz Core i7 and 8GB of RAM. It also starts shipping today. Read more…
