Good news for Instagram’s plans to introduce advertising: Branded videos are proving to be quite popular on the social network.
Unruly, a firm that tracks viral videos, analyzed the 1,000 most shared Instagram videos between Sept. 9 and Oct. 9 and found that 40% were created by brands. MTV proved to be the most shared of any brand, with 84 videos in the top 1,000, which were shared more than 130,000 times collectively.
Almost immediately after Instagram announced the video option in June, brands jumped to try out the new feature.
