Through his work, Keesey has learned that human beings are kind individuals, with goodness at their cores, but they are largely disengaged and disempowered to make any change. His goal is to show the universal through the specific in order to inspire change.
Invisible Children began as a documentary film project and evolved into a worldwide brand aimed at ending Africa’s longest-running conflict inflicted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). In 2012, Invisible Children released KONY 2012, a 30-minute documentary that garnered more than 100 million YouTube views online within six days. At the time, it was the viral video in history.
