Just more than a week after Apple launched its iPhone trade-in program, Walmart is stepping into the smartphone-swap game — not only for iOS devices, but also Android phones.
Starting on Saturday, Sept. 21, Walmart will offer customers anywhere from a $50 to $300 credit toward the purchase of a new smartphone when they trade in their current device. The program will be available in more than 3,600 Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations.
The news comes on the launch day of Apple’s next-generation iPhones, rumored to be the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C budget device. Read more…
