Chris “Birdman” Andersen helped the Miami Heat win its second-straight NBA championship in June, starring in a supporting role while endearing himself to fans with high-flying dunks and all-out hustle
But a year ago, when playing for the Denver Nuggets, Andersen was mired in scandal when his home was searched as part of an investigation conducted by their Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
Andersen denied any wrongdoing. Many fans rushed to judgment on the player, who is heavily tattooed and has in the past been suspended for substance abuse. He was cut by the Nuggets
