Internet Explorer, the browser that has suffered the critical wrath of frustrated Web surfers for years, is finally getting a dramatic refresh with the debut of IE11. An early Developer Preview of IE11 for Windows 7 was revealed in July, but on Wednesday Microsoft is making a Release Preview of the software available to general users of the operating system.
According to Microsoft’s test results, this new preview version of the upgraded browser is 9% faster than Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7, a speed bump the company claims represents a 5% increase over the IE11 Developer Preview.
