U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations Samantha Power remembers being very moved while watching footage from the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests when she was in college.
“That really got into my head,” Power said on stage on Sunday at the Social Good Summit in conversation with Mashable CEO Pete Cashmore. “I thought, ‘Wow, look at those citizens, what they’re doing for their families and their futures.”
