Facebook announced a six-month partnership deal with FOX Sports on Sunday that will allow Facebook data and social chatter to appear alongside live NFL, college football and soccer broadcasts
FOX Sports will be using Facebook data in a number of different ways to provide supplemental real-time social analysis to its live broadcasts, including the new FOX Sports 1 network. Fox will now use Facebook to poll viewers regarding a certain team or game, field viewer questions during broadcasts, and provide a real-time stream of user conversations in areas like the ticker.
