In a white paper shared by Facebook Monday morning about Internet.org, the company’s campaign to get the entire world online, Facebook also shared some interesting information about the size of its photo library
Facebook users have uploaded more than 250 billion photos to the site, and currently averages 350 million uploads per day, according to the white paper. (For comparison, Flickr users upload 3.5 million photos every day, its head of product told The Verge, and the site has 8 billion in total.)
Photo uploads aren’t the only aspect of the social network that generates heavy traffic. Facebook reported that users share 4.75 billion “content items” per day — including posts, comments, videos, photos, and status updates.
