We’ve just pushed the bits for beta5 of ZF2, and packages are now available:
New features in this release include:
- New ZendEscaper component, which provides context-specific escaping mechanisms for HTML, HTML attributes, CSS, JavaScript, and URLs. This feature has been integrated into the view layer as well.
- New ZendI18n component, replacing the legacy ZF1 i18n/L10n layer, and leveraging PHP’s ext/intl extension.
- Ability to create forms, input filters, and hydrators via annotations on your models.
The release wraps up more than 400 pull requests, and is slated as our last release before entering release candidate (RC) stage — if you haven’t tried out ZF2 yet, I encourage you to do so today!
For more information on the release, please read the release announcement on the ZF site.
