London is playing host not just to the world’s sports people but to a bunch of business conferences this week, and it’s turning into a bit of an announcement-fest. Yesterday Jonny Ive from Apple said Apple isn’t into making money (it’s all about the design, kids). And today Spotify announced new user numbers.
At the ‘Global Business Summit on Creative Content‘ in London Ken Parks (Spotify’s Chief Content Officer and Managing Director of Spotify N. America) said Spotify now has over 15 million active users and over 4 million paying subscribers.
Yesterday the music streaming company announced that a newly-released update to its Android app had added its mobile radio functionality.
In September last year they said they had two million paying subscribers, or at least €10 million per month of revenue.
