Call for Creativity
For the longest time, there has been a stereotype of the lone programmer sitting in a dark room. Or the image of a hacker who puts an FBI director’s personal information on a somewhat questionable BBS system while trying to woo Angelina Jolie. Or that developers sit around worrying about how to “hack the mainframe”, but have no personal lives to speak of.
If you, or someone you know with connections to the developer community at large, have something to show, we would love to hear so we can showcase at this year’s ZendCon. We are looking for music, digital artwork or video media submissions (including fun videos) which will be played or displayed at various places around the conference, with attribution, of course. Physical media submissions are also welcome though we will be limiting that to local artists.
For the video or artwork submissions please make sure that you submit your content in a high enough quality so-as to be easily viewable on a 1080p video screen. Additionally, content should be somewhat related to programming, hackers or that sort of sub-culture and, please, make it as cool as possible. Originality and linkage to the programming community is a big plus.
All submissions will be reviewed to make sure that they are appropriate for a general audience such as ours. From there, members of the PHP community will be able to vote on what they think is the best in each of the categories; music, artwork and video.
Prizes will include
- being highlighted in a post-ZendCon newsletter, sent to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide
- being highlighted in a press release announcing the winners
- Individual announcements for each category on all of Zend’s social media properties
As you can see, this is a great opportunity for any artist wishing to gain exposure and we would love to help you in that goal. Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, we can’t help you with.
To submit your idea, use the form below. We look forward to seeing your submission!
