2 New HTML5 Frameworks for Building Mobile Apps

Html5 150x150AppMobi has just launched 2 new HTML5 javascript frameworks for developers building mobile applications. The new aUX (appMobi User Experience) APIs are being offered to the community as open source projects here on GitHub, where they are available for free.

One framework is designed for building apps using appMobi’s suite of tools while the other can be used by anyone building HTML5 mobile apps, says the company.

According to appMobi CEO Dave Kennedy, his company “is committed to accelerating the industry’s move to HTML5,” which is why one of the tools works with appMobi’s own developer toolkit, while the other is for anyone working with HTML5, regardless of what tools they’re using. “AppMobi placed its bet on HTML5 as the unifying technology for mobile in 2009,” says Kennedy, “and we welcome all developers to the party.”

2 New HTML5 Frameworks: Here’s What’s Included

The aUX.js framework is the one that works with appMobi’s suite. It offers access to “complex-to-program” functions including animated screen transitions, inertial scrolling of lists, touch gestures and more. And the framework works with any app being built with the appMobi suite, whether a native iOS or Android or a Web app.

The second framework, aUX_web.js, is for anyone building HTML5 mobile apps. This one provides common functions like scrolling, password entry, animated carousel selection and multi-button selection.
