This week Mindjet released an iOS version of its MindManager application. MindManager is a mind mapping tool for Widnows and OSX. The OSX version also got a refresh, adding several features that were already available in the Windows version.

snagR is a Web application for . This week it released an iOS version. snagR can be used for location plotting, defect management, site inspections and more. The mobile app syncs with the Web version.

I suppose we’ll be seeing people walking around constructions sites with hard hats and iPads instead of clipboards now.

Conduit Now Supports Tablet App Creation

Conduit Mobile is a service that helps people build mobile applications from existing websites. This week it added the ability to create tablet-optimized versions of apps as well.

iPads Are Finding Their Way Into the Federal Government

This week the Washington Post ran a story on how the BlackBerry is no longer the only device being used by government agencies. We’ve talked about how the consumerization of IT is changing the way enterprises manage devices, and the growing use of iPads and iPhones by federal employees reflects that. Previously, we looked at the NSA’s IT plans, which include allowing employees to bring their own devices to work.
