RingCube vDesk Helps Make For Better VDI Personalization

At the Citrix Synergy show last week, RingCube Technologies announced the latest version 4 of its vDesk VDI personalization software. This allows better customization of particular desktops that can be deployed with XenDesktop and VMware View VDI solutions. The new version has easier setup and management routines and the company claims it can be configured in minutes. It sells for $65 per user and is available now.

Having an easy-to-use VDI customization solution makes VDI more palatable in situations where many users don’t fit the standard desktop configuration, and can reduce the support overhead and preparation time in creating the appropriate VDI images that will be deployed across an enterprise. “One of VDI’s most persistent challenges is the inability to scale across an organization to its various types of employees,” says RingCube’s announcement. The new version of vDesk can help widen the number of potential desktops which can be delivered with VDI.
