iPad for Business Round-Up: Zoho Docs for iPad, Radian6 Mobile, and More

The iPad isn’t just a hot new consumer device, it’s also an increasingly popular tool for business. Every week we take a look at the latest developments in its use in the enterprise.

This week we look at a new iPad app for cardiologists, new apps from SugarCRM, Radian6 and Zoho and a few more apps that bring SharePoint to the iPad.

We hear a lot about the potential for the iPad in health care, and this week we saw the launch of an app that may validate that: Airstrip Cardiology. Airstrip offers apps for several platform for sending encrypted ECG information directly from hospital medical equipment to mobile devices. Cardiologists can view the current state of a patient, or browse their history.

Radian6 Mobile

Radian6, the social analytics company Salesforce.com recently acquired, announced a new iPhone and iPad app this week. The app gives users the ability monitor the Social Web for brand mentions, respond to customers or to route issues to other members of the team.

SharePoint Apps

Last week we told you about Mobile Entree, a SharePoint plugin for creating touchscreen-friendly interfaces. Yesterday, we took an look at several more options for bringing SharePoint to the iPad, including several native clients.

SugarCRM Mobile for iPad

SugarCRM announced a new version of its iPad app this week at its Sugarcon event. The new version was built by iExtensions, a mobile enterprise development company SugarCRM recently acquired.

Zoho Docs for iPad

As we reported earlier this week, Zoho has launched an iPad app for its popular Web-based document service. Unfortunately, the iPad app isn’t capable of editing documents. The iPad app can view documents from Zoho Writer, Sheet and Show.
