The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is like a lot of groups funded by the U.S. federal government. The agency receives limited funds. Any project that requires servers has to be thought through to get as much out of it as possible.
To get the most out of its funding, TARC turned to virtualization. The results? Server consolidation, cost savings and a reduction in power usage.
